Classic 80s Memphis Style

Find out about our Classic Memphis collection

We love the original postmodern 80s Memphis design style and this collection is all about that. Classic Memphis is what we think of when we look back to the first designs under the original Memphis design movement (Memphis Milano Group) of Ettore Sottsass in the 1980s. Big, bold, zany Pop Art inspired colors, geometric Art Deco style patterns and shapes. When used as furniture design 80s Memphis style was considered quite impractical. This was different to how the Memphis style evolved into smaller patterns and graphic designs of the 90s and then into the more muted tones of contemporary Memphis design. Indeed, as contemporary digital Memphis design graphic it is a completely different consideration as it has now become a versatile way of applying wonderful geometric patterns to all sorts of products, including homewares, apparel, accessories and stationery.

Take a look at our collection and see what you think, whether for a Memphis design interior or Memphis style apparel. If you love bright colors you will love the Memphis design graphic, and our Classic Memphis collection is the epitome of that.
