This design is perhaps one of our favorites. In a typical Mid Century Modern style it is inspired by the works of Alexander Girard. who you can read about on our blog. Girard was a colorist and textile designer. He worked for Herman Miller and produced some of the best designs of the Modernist period. Whilst not a purist, Girard was heavily influenced by folk art and had a collection of over 100,000 items, which you can see in the museum dedicated to him in Santa Fe.
